available to play for their region because of their departmental duties, but still the young guns are putting up a good show for their region.

Fast bowler Waqas Ahmed was the star for Sialkot as he picked up 7 wickets for only 55 runs and broke the back of Multan’s batting. His new ball partner, Prince Abbas took 2 wickets from the other end.
In the 2nd innings, Sialkot scored 228 runs before they were bowled out. This time Mansoor Amjad stood up and played a captain’s knock of 101 runs which included 14 boundaries. He has played a couple of ODIs for Pakistan and is basically a leg-spinner
who can bat. The way he took his team out of trouble is quite commendable and a good sign for Pakistan cricket. Opener Jawad Ahmed also scored a well-made 46 as he saw his partners struggle at the other end.
Abdur Rauf picked up 5 wickets in the 2nd innings as well and with that completed his 10-wicket haul for the match.
Multan was given a target of 309 runs to chase in the last innings but their batsmen came up with an even poor effort in the 2nd innings as the whole team was blown away by Sialkot’s opening bowlers. Waqas Ahmed and Prince Abbas took 5 and 4 wickets
respectively and did not allow any 3rd bowler to roll his arm over. Waqas Ahmed took 12 wickets in the match and should be able to catch the eyes of the selection committee.
