his natural game and took the advantage away from the home team.
ZTBL posted a mammoth total of 498 runs for the loss of nine wickets before declaring their first innings. The left-handed middle-order batsman, http://www.senore.com/Cricket/Haris-Sohail-c61503, was the real star for ZTBL as he scored 151 runs with the help of 22 boundaries.
Imran Nazir was unlucky to have missed out on a hundred by just one run. http://www.senore.com/Cricket/Zohaib-Khan-c98638 also contributed with vital half-centuries.
The right-arm medium-pacer, Ahmed Jamal, picked up four wickets to somewhat halt the progress of ZTBL.
In reply, Abbottabad managed only 197 runs in their first innings and were forced to follow on. http://www.senore.com/Cricket/Chaudhri-Mohammad-Naeem-c50533 and Nadeem Akhtar showed some resistance and scored half-centuries, but they failed to find any support from the other
end.
http://www.senore.com/Cricket/Junaid-Nadir-c69669 and Zohaib Khan took four wickets each to help their team’s cause.
Following on, Abbottabad’s batting fell like a house of cards in the second innings and the whole team was dismissed for a mere 95. Lanky fast bowler, http://www.senore.com/Cricket/Rehan-Riaz-c84633 was the chief destroyer, as he picked up four crucial scalps with Test
fast bowlers, Iftikhar Anjum and http://www.senore.com/Cricket/Mohammad-Khalil-c77063, picking up three apiece
At the Iqbal Stadium, Faisalabad, Habib Bank Limited was in huge trouble as they require another 294 runs to win on the last day of the match. Although, playing at home, no one gave Faisalabad a chance because they were up against
a much bigger team in shape of HBL.
However, the home team posted competitive scores of 247 and 234 runs in their two innings respectively. Whereas, HBL were bundled out for merely 156 runs in their first innings. It remains to be seen whether the defending champions
of the Trophy can chase down this big score on the last day or not.
