Rawalpindi versus National Bank of Pakistan
Rawalpindi, after winning the toss, sent National Bank of http://www.senore.com/Cricket/Pakistan-c755 in to bat first in bowling helpful conditions. They gained an early advantage of bowling first as they devastated the oppositions batting line-up for an average score of 175 runs.
Anwaar Hafeez, the only substantial contributor for NBP, gathered a resilient 69-run innings to rescue his team from an early debacle. Wasim Khan’s bold 36 runs at a strike rate of hundred helped his team secure a modest total.
The opening bowlers for Rawalpindi bowled really well as they gathered four wickets between them, Rizwan Akbar managed decent figures of 3/44. To everyone’s surprise, Nisar Malik, the left-arm medium pacer, who has just played 3 first-class matches, wreaked
havoc for the opposition batsmen as he registered great figures of 6/50. It all started from the dismissal of Anwaar, the top run-getter for his team.
Moreover, Rawalpindi batsmen did not back their bowler’s brilliant bowling performance as they crumbled to a poor total of 118. There first two wickets fell on a bleak score of 7. The batsmen added 43 runs for the 3rd wicket partnership. After
that, it was a complete struggle for their batsmen.
NBP’s bowlers completely devastated the opponent’s willowers. Mohammad Talha started it off in a blatant fashion as he sent three top order batsmen to the pavilion, scalping three victims. However, it was the brilliant and accurate fast-medium bowling of
Wasim Khan, which really dug deep in Rawalpindi’s batting as he gathered an amazing tally of 6/42.
 As expected, the wicket was eased up on the 3rd day and National Bank’s batsmen displayed their batting skills as two of them scored magnificent centuries. In the process, Umar Amin struck 132 runs to ensure an early stability. In addition, Kamran
Akmal showed his class as he registered thirteenth first-class century to guide his team to a massive total of 374 runs.
 Sadaf Hussain the pick of the bowlers for Rawalpindi as he recorded decent figures of 5/82. Nisar Malik added three more to his tally and in all he scalped 9/133.
A target of 432 runs was never easy as it turned out to be. Mohammad Talha and Wasim Khan earned 9 wickets between them. In between, Wasim Khan earned a ten-wicket haul.
http://www.senore.com/Cricket/Adnan-Mufti-c42057 were the only substantial contributors as the pair managed half centuries to show some piece of resistance. Apart for them, there were no other impressionable scores as Rawalpindi suffered a 172 defeat at the hands of NBP, scoring
254 runs.
Karachi Blues versus Sui Northern Gas Pipeline Limited
SNGPL secured a hard fought draw against Karachi Blues in an absorbing final day of the second round. Blues batted first, registered a decent total of 215 runs. Saeed Bin http://www.senore.com/Cricket/Nasir-c78728, the top scorer for his team as he managed a fighting 46 runs.
 For SNGPL, Adil Raza hunted four preys and was backed up by Zulqarnain who chipped in with three more wickets. There batting was not up to the mark as they failed to come to terms with the oppositions bowling and only gathered 138 runs.
Adeel Malik and http://www.senore.com/Cricket/Babar-Rehman-c47132 were the chief destroyers for Karachi as both of then earned four wickets each. The Blues displayed a better fight in their 2nd outing as they piled up a fighting total of 289 runs. Rameez Raja, the star of the show for his team
struck 81 runs to ensure his team to a decent total. Imran Khalid for Sui Gas was the pick of the bowlers as he recorded magnificent figures of 5/57 in the 2nd battle.
In the hunt of 367 runs, Ali Waqas displayed a brilliant knock of 94 runs to set up things nicely for the chase. Adding to this, it was a defying century from the blade of Adnan Akmal, which ensured his team to salvage an unlikely draw as SNGPL managed a
score of 284/9.
Shahzaib Ahmed’s display of 6/118 wasn’t enough to guide his team to a likely win.
