I recently separated Barrack and Michelle (my Quakers) because they fight too much. and Michelle has almost no feathers left. she is really sad to look at. but I dont want her to miss out on her time with her baby daddy. they have had 5 eggs together about two months ago. How can I tell when she is ready?

  1. With Quakers they will get really protective over their living area. If they are fighting then it is time for time apart I would suggest trying again in the late ocober weeks right before winter. Quakers as well as all hook billed birds breed best when it cold or snowy outside. This is why quakers are banned from states like PA and CA because they breed so well out in the cold the state has become over run with them and has banned those birds from even being in their sate at all. These quakers live here in texas all over the place and breed all winter long.
