  1. you have to know how to swim, in case the ship sinks

  2. qualification  for  cruise  ship  is  good  personality  speak  more  than  one  language  work  hard   and  have  a  good  libido  i  had  a  different  woman  every  night  why  you  thing  the  American women  go  there ??  the  husband  goes  for  golf  and  the  wife  is  chasing  the  balls!!

  3. I worked for 10 years on ships. Basically what you need is:

Good english, good people skills and an STCW-95 (Basic Sea Survival).

And the hability to live with people from different creeds, races, s*x orientations etc.

Also stand the work load and pressure helps.

  4. Although education and skill requirements vary widely from job to job, all cruise ship positions require exceptionally good customer relation skills, and on their applications and in their interviews, candidates need to demonstrate that they have them. Employers also prefer to hire employees who are fluent in at least one of the languages other than English that many passengers speak, usually German, Italian, French, and Spanish.

Working on a cruise ship is in many way like working in a hotel, and has its own unique advantages and disadvantages. One of the greatest benefits is the opportunity to travel all over the world while also getting free room and board. And besides their base salaries, which are often only low to moderate, many workers who deal directly with passengers like waiters, gift shop attendants, and health and fitness instructors can earn extra money.

  5. I dont know, but I took a cruise and cant believe anybody would want to work on one.  They get very little pay, work 7 days a week, months on end.  Boo.

  6. You have to be strong, and willing to work about 16hrs a day 7 days a week.  Accept low pay, and smile often.

But the pay for many from 3rd world countries is much better than they get at home.  I would say the better educated you are the better your chances are, and speak some English. Most crusing but not all speak English.

  7. You're not afraid of the water.

    You don't get sea sick.

Cheers and good luck getting the job! :-)
