Qualifications needed for an architect.

I have completed my B.A in Eng-French and an M.A in French, but my teaching salary is too less and I would like to try my hand at something else like architecture.Can anyone tell me what the requirements are inorder for me to pursue this career? Thank you.

  1. You can't legally call yourself an architect unless you have a license.

    To get there you'll need...

    BS Degree in Engineering

    Post graduate architectural school

    After graduation, 5 - 10yrs working under a licensed architect

    ...and then you can take the exams to get your license.

    Once you get the license you can call yourself an architect. Until you get to that point you are an apprentice or assistant.
