  1. You do need one to go to the DR.

However, when you are a felon, you cannot legally leave the Country.  Therefore, your hubby wouldn't be able to get a passport because the government looks that info up by the security number.  Being on Probabtion has no bearing on the fact that he can't go to the DR (PO's can approve the person to go)....The felony is what is preventing it.

  2. Yes he does need a passport; if his probation has no restriction on leaving the country then he could get one. On the other hand if his parole officer says he can’t then they will not allow you in the country without a passport.

  3. Unfortunately your husband can't go with you to the Dominican Republic as long he is on probation. But maybe if he talks to the judge, maybe the judge can do something about it (guess).

  4. Yes you need a passport to travel the Dominican Republic, Mexico or the Caribbean. If he is a US citizen, he can apply for a passport, it's his right.

However, first, some countries will not let you in their country if your a convicted felon, second, he needs to ask his probation officer if he can leave the country.

I wish you both good luck)
