Quality competition expected amongst Al Waab and Sugar Boy

Some quality stallions have gathered around for a competition in the bet365 Classic Trial (Group 3) at Sandown in England on Friday, April 26, 2013. Although all of them are quite capable of winning the event, yet some of them have the edge over others.

The bookmakers have given the highest odds of victory to Al Waab, who has given quite some impressive performances since making his debut in the sport last year. He has not made any appearances in the ongoing season, which will put him under some pressure,
but he should be fresh compared to some of his rivals.

He will definitely get the attention of the punters in the race, as he has never dropped out of the top-three in his career yet. The start to his career was an exceptional one, as he managed to win a couple of back to back events, despite not being rated
as the favourite in them.

However, his dream run came to an end in the third race of his career, where he had to settle for the runner up position in the end. He was once again not the favourite to claim that event, but fought hard until the very last moment. Things could have gone
his way, but he fell short by a head distance, missing a hat-trick at the start of his career.

In his most recent outing, Sir Henry Cecil’s trained stallion was unable to challenge the front runners and finished down in third place. He has not been seen in action since then, but his fans will be hoping that he makes a strong comeback today.

On the other hand, he will be given a tough time by some of his rivals including Sugar Boy, who will be keeping an eye on the cash prize of £34,026 from the all important class-1 clash.

The three-year-old colt has appeared in one race this year and his performance in it was quite good. Although he was unable to finish on top of the table, yet he gave a tough time to his rivals and finished as a runner up overall. He will be looking to go
one step further this time around.
