Quality stallions to clash in Guinness Galway Hurdle – Horseracing news
A healthy competition is expected in the upcoming Guinness Galway Hurdle in Ireland next month.
Some quality performers have been attracted towards the competitions and trainer Gordon Elliott is really looking forward to winning the race, as he has entered quite a few challengers for the race.
According to the seasoned trainer, “I have entered Cause Of Causes, Flaxen Flare and Shadow Catcher and the plan is for them all to run. Cause Of Causes was second in the race last year and he won't mind the drying ground and, to be honest, all of mine will
like the good ground.”
He went onto say, “Flaxen Flare ran a lovely race on the Flat at Killarney last week and that should leave him spot on for Galway. Shadow Catcher also appears to be in very good form.”
Out of all his stallions, Flaxen Flare really seems to be the one to watch out for, as he is a quality performer. He has got a pretty decent record in the sport and will not make life easy for his opponents. He will definitely get the attention of the bookies
and the punters will also be looking forward to risk bets on him freely.
The four-year-old gelding has participated in a total of 15 races until now and his performances in them were pretty good. He likes the hurdles more than any other form of the game, which will make him an even more dangerous runner in the Guinness Galway
Hurdle.
Flaxen Flare has participated in a total of five hurdles in his career, winning two of them whereas finished as a runner up once. This clearly shows that he is capable of fighting at the front with consistency.
On the other hand, he will certainly be given a tough time by his main rival Ted Veale, who has got some useful experience in this form of racing. Moreover, his recent form has been terrific, which is a positive sign for his camp and the punters will definitely
be attracted towards him more than anyone else. It will be interesting to see how well he performs in the presence of other quality stallions.
