Which book i should read to understand quantum Mechanics?

  1. That all depends on the level of mathematics you can understand.  For an excellent layman's explanation, I recommend Richard Feynman's "QED".  You can find it on Amazon or really any bookstore, used or new.

    If you have a decent math background, you should get a college-level text on the subject.  I think David Griffiths' "Introduction to Quantum Mechanics" is the standard undergraduate text in the states.  Personally, I can't stand the book, but most people seem rather fond of it.

    EDIT: Also, there is a LOT of BS in popular literature about QM.  There are more than a few "quantum mechanics says that you can change things with your thoughts" books which goes well-beyond exaggeration and misunderstanding into the realm of opportunistic lying.  Be wary of such claims.
