Are these guys for real?

Rhodopsin, the material in which these researchers are attempting to detect this quantum echo phenomenon, is peculiar to the retina of the eye.  Rhodopsin is in fact the light-sensitive substance that enables humans to be able to see at night.  Assuming that they do detect the quantum echo, so what?  Their observations and any conclusions they make therefrom would not apply to brain cells.
