Question:

Quantum entanglement and information speed

I was just thinking. Is it possible that there is yet another dimension (12th?) used to somehow convey information instantaneously without breaking the speed limit of light. I mean, like a shortcut but it can't be one of the tiny dimensions used in string theory, they are too small to span huge distances.

  1. If there is something that travels instantaneously when the wave function collapses, it is not information. The definition of information is very technical, but the collapse of the wave function doesn't make the cut. Basically, you can not use the observation of quantum systems to send a telegram, because you cannot control the outcomes of those observations. Since you have no control over the data, even in principle, they cannot be used to send messages, so it is not information.
