I have just graduated college with a degree in biology. I still don't know what I want to do with my life. I was thinking of going to school next year for RN and becoming a traveling nurse. My other tempting option is moving with a friend of mine to California, getting a job with my degree and seeing where that takes me. I don't know if I really want to be a nurse or work in the biology field. what I really want to do is travel the world but can't find a job that fits either. any suggestions? What would you do?

  1. You are very young and rightfully so are very unsure what you want to do.  I would suggest trying the Nursing route.  Here's my reasoning.  If you get a job, then you will start getting paid.  You then buy a car and put yourself behind the 8 ball with car payments, etc.  You will then have a very tough time quitting earning money to go back to college and get your RN degree.

Once you have your RN, you can then try either profession and have the other in your back pocket.

Note: RN's are in high demand and will be so for many years....you can find a job anywhere....a luxury that very few professions have these days!  You can go all over the world and find a job as a RN....so travel...and when you get tired of a spot....travel more and find a RN job.
