Quarterland John jubilant to win Dual Distance Semi-Final
Quarterland John aims at completing his maiden hat-trick by winning the Sis A2 Dual Distance 525/550 Semi-Final that will be held tonight, May 23 at Shelbourne Park.
The Hynes-trained black dog is awash with confidence and courage following his last two consecutive victories that came in the first half of April. He will demonstrate a winning performance to knock down his five worthy competitors including Drumsna Prince,
Broadacres Buddy, Myleens Robot, Big Bad Barry and Pennys Pudding.
The Grade A2 contest over a distance of 525 yards will commence at 21:55 (GMT). A prize cheque worth €100 will be distributed among the above runners.
Quarterland John has been at the peak of form since the beginning of his career. The two-year-old novice runner staged a stunning debut on October 24, 2011.
The dashing dog stepped ahead to bag a couple of consecutive victories with reasonable margins in January 2012. The maverick runner finished 3rd in a big race on March 3.
Now, the brilliant son of Crash out of Find Fault Kitty is h**l-bent to complete a fabulous hat-trick. Moreover, he is keen to claim the ace title of the Semi-Final. However, one thing can go against him i.e., he has not participated in any A2 race so far.
Each one of Drumsna Prince and Broadacres Buddy will also struggle hard for success, but they cannot impede Quarterland John at all.
Drumsna Prince managed to break his maiden in his last outing on May 11 after staging debuting in November 2011. The Dogherty-trained blue dog marvellously and emphatically bagged that victory by the big margin of 6 lengths.
On the other hand, Broadacres Buddy has two epic triumphs to his name. The G. Holland-trained black dog also gained a runner-up rank on May 12. The novice runner is determined to show a decent run today.
Thus, the race will be thrilling enough. A fierce battle is expected but Quarterland John will carry the day convincingly. If he wins, this will be a remarkable achievement for the young dog. Let us enjoy the fantastic action today. Good luck to all the
hounds.
