  1. Most of the people visit Goa for beaches If you wana go for some historical & cultural sights you should check out these sites:

In Panji(Goa's capital you can visit)The Idalcao Palace, Our Lady of Immaculate Conception(Church),Braganza Institute, Jama Masjid,The Chapel of St Sebastian, Mahalaxmi Temple,

The Naval Aviation Museum in Vasco-da-Gama,Holy Spirit Church,Jorge Barreto Park,Monte Church in Margao.

More information aboutt tourist places in goa you can find here:

  2. As people sy there is a lot to do in Goa, and a lot of cultural attractions.

In addition why not take a 30 pound 1 hour flight from Goa to Bombay/Mumbai for the day (or longer)? See the gateway to India (Built to commemorate George V??? visiting india, and also the place where the last british left). Visit Victoria Terminus a fantastic piece of Victorian architecture There is lots to do there also. Why not try an overnight trip from Goa to Hampi (just search google pics for Hampi and you will want to go). or of course a flight again about 1 hour to Bangalore (the IT capital) or the backwaters of Kerela.

    Whatever you decide, have fun

  3. you can GOA wherever you want

  4. I have been to Goa twice and loved it the best way to see the real Goa is with a taxi and they will show you everything for a fraction of the price of trips with reps. They wait while you go and look round a good trip is Gerry`s tour it is fantastic and he is a fantastic guide and we are still in touch with him, his wife and 2 children.

  5. All hotels do great excursions, that's what I did. I went to the spice plantation, trekking to the highest waterfall in Goa, swimming with elephants. You can also visit lots of temples and go on a tiger safari. Ask your travel agent, but it will be a better price and you'll get more info from the local hotels.

  6. Just make sure you're not with any 15yr old girls taking drugs with the locals late at night. We all know what happened last time don't we?

  7. really in goa there isnt a lot but if its historical the only things that are around now are relics of the portugese occupancy. try Old Goa, about 15 mins in taxi from Panajim the main town.otherwise the two main markets at Anjuna and Mapusa are a treat. a lot is made of the waterfall and tiger safari but the chances of seeing a tiger is very slim, monkeys galore and loads of birds, and the waterfall trek is a bit of a hike and sweaty.

for something different why not go to Mother Theresa,s Orphanage at Don Boscos and take a  few groceries from the local market, it,s a heartwarming site.

goa is really about laid back sun so dont be disappointed if its not what you expect for attractions.
