C'est la ville de Quebec qui celebre son "anniversaire" cette annee, 1608 - 2008, et chu fier de dire que j'etait la pour le Nouvel An, crisse comme on as eu du fun en tabarwette!!

It's the city of Quebec that's celebrating it's 400th anniversary (1608 - 2008) and I am proud to say that I was there for New Year's, man we had so much fun !!

Actually, it is the city of Quebec that is celebrating its 400th anniversary. The city was the first permanent settlement in the northern area of the new world (America) that was not simply a commercial trading post, and is considered to be the oldest European-established city in North America.

The province of Quebec was only "born" in 1763, when the colony of New France was given to the English after the Seven Years War and renamed "Quebec". That would make my home province only 245 years old.
