Quebec life?

What is everyday life like in Quebec? Are there any cool, artsy neighborhoods that are fairly affordable?

I'm considering moving there, but I'm still pretty unfamiliar.

Also, how is the art/desgin scene? Is it difficult to open/operate ones own business in Quebec?

  1. Yes, there are cool artistic neighboorhoods that are affordable, try the plateau, or the papineau area close to St. Catherine, (the g*y area), not old Montreal, that's expensive

Overall, accomodation is affordable and rent is cheap

I may say it is the most artistic city in Canada, lot of art I've seen there, but as I'm not an artist I can't critize much

Your business has to be in french, I believe the government may help you open it but not sure about the procedure

  2. I agree - the Plateau Mont-Royal is probably the best neighborhood for you but it is a predominantly French speaking area so I sure hope you're bilingual, lol!

The real estate prices are slowly but surely going up though - like everywhere else I guess!

Best of luck to you - hope you find what you are looking for!
