What would have happened if the Separatists in Quebec had actually won the vote for separation from the rest of Canada? Would we have let them do it?

  1. its not going to happen, the boc don't have enough seats in the house of commons. but if there's another referendum and the majority decides they want to seperate...then it might be possible, but i still don't think the federal government would let that happen.

personally, i don't think quebec should leave, they are a very important part of canadian culture and how this country came to be. plus, if they were on their own, i think they'd be screwed. plus a big portion of the trans canada highway would be cut off lol, how the h**l would i find a way to drive from newfoundland to vancouver?!?!

its sad really how the federal government doesn't pay that much attention to quebec. i think they deserve more respect...

  2. We as Americans, or We as Canadians... As American's their is probably not much we could do... unless the rest of canada asked for our help in supressing Quebec... As Canadians I would'nt think it would happen anytime soon, there would be way to much paperwork and small legalities to take care of first.
