  1. She died a long time ago. So, no name, no titles now.

She was highly respected and very much loved by all people. I liked her too, she seemed a very kind and warm lady.

  2. Just a point on Evie's great answer, The Queen Mother remained Her Majesty, The Queen Mother. She did not revert back to HRH status on the death of the King.

And if you listened to the wording of her funeral service, she was referred to as First Star of India, as recognition to her former status as the last Empress of India.

  3. She was born Lady Elizabeth Angela Marguerite Bowes-Lyon, the daughter of the Earl of Strathmore. When she married Prince Albert she became Duchess of York. When he succeeded to the throne, she became Queen Elizabeth, and on her daughter's accession her title became Queen Elizabeth the Queen Mother.

  4. Mother, queen of inbred horses.

  5. that was a very good question, well done!

  6. Born Lady Elizabeth Bowes-Lyon to the Earl and Countess of Strthmore. Upon her Mariage to the then Prince Albert he was created Duke of York and she became Duchess Of York. On the abdication of Edward VII she became HM  Queen, and upon her husband's death she became HM Queen Elizabeth the Queen Mother. She should have become Dowager Queen but as her husband's mother (Queen Mary) was still alive the title Queen Mother was invented for her.

  7. I WISH I COULD....I HOPE THIS DOES'NT KNOCKK ME FOR THE 10 POINTS.REMEMBER (A) FOR EFFERT**

  8. Born Elizabeth Angela Marguerite Bowes-Lyon, 4 August 1900, the Queen Mum first became the Duchess of York upon her marriage to Prince Albert, who later became George VI.   After the abdication of Edward VIII and the crowning of George VI, she served as his queen consort from 1936 to 1952, and as his widow, she took the official title the "Queen Mother" between 1952 to 2002.  Adolf Hitler simply called her "the most dangerous woman in Europe."  During her time as Duchess of York, newspapers dubbed her "the Smiling Duchess."

The Queen Mum's official titles were as follows:

    The Honourable Elizabeth Bowes-Lyon (1900-1904)

    Lady Elizabeth Bowes-Lyon (1904-1923)

Her Royal Highness, The Duchess of York (1923-1936)

Her Majesty, The Queen Empress (1936-1952)

Her Majesty, The Queen (also 1936-1952)

Her Majesty, The Queen Mother (1952-2002)*
