Queens Park Rangers were finally able to seal promotion to the English Premier League despite suffering defeat at the hands of Leeds United in their last match of the competition.
Neil Warnock was finally able to get his hands on the trophy after the Football Association decided not to deduct any points in their row over the third party ownership rules in case of Alejandro Faurlin. The club was found guilty on two of the seven charges
levelled against them, but the FA decided the case in favour of the Loftus Road outfit.
There was no 15-point penalty for QPR as they celebrated in style, despite the home defeat against Leeds on Saturday.

The win was not enough for Leeds to gatecrash into the playoff spots though, as Nottingham Forest won 3-0 against Crystal Palace

Soon after Dean Moxey was shown a straight red card for a foul and the home side did not waste any time in taking advantage as Marcus Tudgay headed in a second for Forest on the night with a close range header.

Waiting for Forest in the playoff semi-final will be Swansea City as they moved above Cardiff City after a 4-0 thrashing Sheffield United on Saturday.
Swansea City just finished above their compatriots on goal difference after Cardiff could only draw 1-1 with Burnley.
