Queensland Reds defeat the Bulls after an interesting contest
The Queensland Reds defeated the bulls after an interesting match of the ongoing Super Rugby season by 39-30.
The Reds remained dominated over the visitors Bulls throughout the game played at Suncorp Stadium. It was the sixth consecutive victory for the Reds in the current season.
The Bulls made few changes in their side but the most notably was that of Hougaard who replaced Du Preez. The Queensland Reds have not made any change in the side and went in to the field confidently. Ashley Cooper was soon in the action for Reds with a
lovely try to end up the early lead of Bulls which they took in the third minute of the play.
He added another two points to their total and made it 7-3 after eight minutes’ play. The Bulls scrum Kruger was penalised couple of times in the first part of the play for collapsing with the opponents.
Cooper was moving nicely in the field for the hosts Queensland Reds and he made drop goal for his side to take further lead over the Bulls. The hosts were taking the game away with some extra efforts.
The Reds were playing well near the interval and scored a try two minutes before the break. The Reds pay back in the same coin to conclude the first half with a conversion. They led the game 17-13 at the break. The Reds maintained a good tempo throughout
the first half especially Cooper and Morahan were impressive.
Morahan the defender of the Reds shined back after the first break and had a splendid try. He accelerated the scoring momentum of the side again in the 59thminute of the play with another try.
He had a splendid day today as it was a dream for any player to score two tries in a single game. The Bulls tried to bounce back in the field on several times during the second part of the game but it was too late for them.
Reds’ Cooper poured cold water on the Bulls dangerous designs as he scored three conversions with one try and a drop goal. It was brilliant piece of play from the flanker along with Morahan. They ended up the game with 39-30 and claimed sixth victory of
the season.
