Victoria won the toss and elected to bat first, and with centurions Quiney (119) and skipper Finch (154 – the highest one-day score ever registered by a Victorian in Australia's domestic history) opening for the team, Victoria established a dominant stance
from the very beginning.
The partnership between the openers lasted until the 37th over, and yielded a massive 226 runs, after which http://www.senore.com/Cricket/Ben-Cutting-c1132 (the only bowler who managed to claim wickets) stepped in to break it up, sending Quiney back to the pavilion.
