The final day of play saw Victoria’s bowlers launching a fierce assault, which triggered a complete batting collapse as the Bulls stepped up to the crease for their second innings. Player of the Match Pattinson claimed 6 for 32 (his career-best in first-class
cricket) to bring his match figures up to 8 for 61, and Hastings chipped in with 2 for 36.
Only Townsend (42), http://www.senore.com/Cricket/Burns-c48842 (30) managed to register double figures – the remainder of the batting order crumbled completely, and the Bulls were all out at 125, with a paltry 47-run lead.
The chase was completed by the Bushrangers within 10 overs, with openers Rogers (21*) and Quiney (25*) getting the team up to 48 without losing a single wicket, claiming a comprehensive 10-wicket win over Queensland.
