  4. As Salaam to you all,

    a) A rich wife can give to whom she pleases, irrespective of her husband wishes but not in Zakat. Zakat on wealth is an obligation to the needy and poor, and the husband of a rich wife is not classed as poor. Would a true believing wife leave her husband poor, while she had riches?

    b) A husband must provide for his wife in food, clothes, shelter and her daily needs. Her earnings are her own, for her to keep if she wishes. She may spend on the family but not under any duress or pressure from her husband.

    c) As stated above her money is her own and the husband has no claim on it at all and should he do so then she can seek a divorce for his non-belief.
