I am a resident of Asian Country.

I have completed HSSC (12 years of Education) in my own country and now want to study abroad i.e Uk.

But i 've heard that A-Levels education/British Education is Total 13 years before you can do a Undergraduate Degree.

Now i wanna ask that is there any such *1 Year* course available which can align me to British Education system and then i can apply for Undergraduate course..??

Or are there any other possibilities for me..??

Plz give detailed answers and Links that can be useful.

Thanks

  1. it also depends on which country within the uk you go to. England has a 3 year ungergraduate course which includes a foundation year as someone mentioned before. But in Scotland you can go to university after only 12 years at school because university is 4 years with 2 years as a foudation, during which time you can change your degree several times if you don't know exactly what you want to do.

  2. all uk univeristies have a foundation year during which u can catch up on a-level coures. the year is equal to a-level courses so it should be alright

  3. Absolutely. Each university will offer different things, in different subject areas, so you'll have to check their individual websites for details. A Foundation Year, 'Year Zero' or an Access Course would each be one-year A-Level equivalents.
