We only have velveeta or kraft singles- would either one of these be good in a chicken quesadilla or no?

  1. Actually, I'm fairly certain that both would be revolting. Those are plastic, not cheese.

  2. that sounds good. try it.

    =]

  3. depends on if you like those cheeses? american cheese I shudder at the though of using, but Velveeta with some salsa in is good

btw.. your picture is sooooo dang cute, makes ya wanna just squeeze that chubby baby!

  4. If that's what you have, then go with it!  We all do this sometimes, we don't have the exact perfect ingredients for our wonderful dish so we have to use what we have, it'll be fine.  Of course, it wouldn't be as good as Pepper Jack, Sharp Cheddar with Jalapeno seasoning, or the Spanish Cheese Blend from Sarghento, but we use what we have and try to make the best of it. To balance the addition of oils in the cheese that you are using, may I suggest some simple additions of seasonings in your chicken, adding more lettuce, tomatoes, scallions or  cutting down the butter in making your Quesadilla's, if you are doing them in a saute pan with butter.  Nothing is going to really take away the oils in those cheeses that you have, but you can always counteract them with fresher veggies and a lighter cooking process.  Hope this information helps you today!

  5. I would use American over velveeta. If you have some onions and or bell peppers saute them up and add them in. Also a little left over chicken would go well.

  6. Not gross.  Just not as good as using jack or Jalisco cheese.

  7. the best way to make a quesadilla is with mexican cheese(the kind you get a the grocery store) but if you have to you can make it with the kraft but just dont use the velvetta
