Hi. In the case of cruelty, why doesn't the government react properly? Isn't that against the law? I'm talking about the army in Peru; what they're doing to the dogs is terrible, you can look it up online. What would be a way to stop this and why isn't the government taking charge? Thanx

  1. uhm perhaps because peru does not have the laws you think it does?

They have a very loose set of animal welfare laws that are pretty much ignored for the most part. The same thing takes place all over the world including the US. Look at all the cases of animal cruelty, horrid cases even sexual molestation. What happens except a light tap on the hand?

Most can even still go back and get new animals

  2. um...hello...the animal laws in Peru are probably a lot different than they are in the United States.  Stop to consider that for a little while.

  3. What exactly are you referring to that the Peruvian army is doing to dogs?  What have you read or seen that makes you think they are acting cruelly?  Please post links.

Edit to add: This must be what you are talking about: http://www.telegraph.co.uk/news/worldnew...

That is completely barbaric but according to Peruvian government officials, the practice has already been stopped. It's not only cruel to the poor dogs, it's cruel to the soldiers.  Some of those young men will likely be mentally scarred for life from being forced to participate in such brutality.

  4. The goverment needs to make a law that anyone that mistreats a dog gets a massvie fine and jail time.

It makes me so sick thinking of what is happening to this animals. The goverment needs to stand up for animals that can't speak for themselves. If only PETA could make laws.

    Xx
