I have read a lot of questions in this section re: Femininity. I am interested in your own personal definitions not the dictionary ones.

What do YOU think Femininity is?

How do YOU decide if an act is masculine/feminine?

Sugar and spice and all things nice is what little girls are made of.

Slugs and snails and puppydogs tails is what little boys are made of.

Pink for a girl and blue for a boy.

When I grow up I will be a race car driver and you can be a mummy or a nurse.  You will wear pink and stay at home.  I will smoke cigars and go to the gentlemans club.

We will play bridge together and entertain guests on Sunday afternoons, and we will punt down the river and you will shade under a parasol eating strawberries while I punt the boat.  We will entertain one another with anecdotes.  Maybe you will practice your emboidery as we go.

You will wear lace gloves and have rosy cheeks, which I will chastely kiss to greet you.  I will look dashing in a bowtie and we will take the new jalope to town later.

Most thoughts after all, are a fantasy and an ideal to which reality vaguely conforms, from time to time.

Femininity is being a true woman,who has grace in her movements and respect for her self ,who gives unconditional love to her children and the man of her life.

Sensuality, calmness, passiveness, perkiness and neediness.

Femininity is being comfortable in your skin. It's liking to dress up & wear makeup for yourself, it's doing your hair just because. Liking babies & animals, liking to go shopping & get pedicures/manicures. It's being a lady for no reason at all. It's treating others w/ respect as well as having respect for yourself.

Feminity is the opposite of masculinity, as simple as that

It's really just a social construct.  My definition of femininity is classic beauty, grace, elegance, soft spoken, mild mannered, lady like, and polite.  

I decide if that an act is either masculine/feminine by the traits of my family, friends and various acquaintances.

Like masculinity, an individual's femininity is just a plot on a BEM scale.  That's it!  Its pure ideology.

Attractiveness to me, charm, humorous, loving toward my children and me, sexually arousing, of my particular preference of ethnicity and appearance.
