Question:

Question About Betta Fish!?

I have a male and a female in a large tank together (I know, they shouldn't be together). The two mated and I didn't want them too. I don't want to raise the fry, but I don't want to be inhumane. What should I do!?

  1. Just wait it out - you really don't have any choice.

You don't take care of them, the male will. And you will HAVE to remove the female when the eggs are laid!! If you havent do it!!

Call your local pet store and explain to them your situation and ask them if they will take them that you want to donate them.

  2. This is like saying you have a baby, and you don't want it.

You may have 200 fry to start out with, but it's survival of the fittest just in a few days-weeks! 200 will quickly drop! In the end, you may have around 50.

When grown, you can sell them to little kids lookin for a neat pet, and if you get some funky colors, some breeders will pay high dollar for a beautiful male/female betta.

Just look on ebay! Seriously! I've gotten both my male bettas from Thailand!

  3. I say just raise them.

Whats the worst that could happen??

Or go to a pet store and sask them what you should do.
