Question About Braces??? Need Answers Please!!?

Question

Im off to get my brace taken off next week WOO WOO! i have been so excited!!

But if i look closely at my teeth they're still not perfect..i have a few small gaps at the bottom and one very small gap in my front top two teeth....

is there something the orthodentist does to make those gaps go away when i get the brace taken off? like does he do bonding or anything?

I figure the retainer will fix that, or he wouldn't be taking your braces off yet. Also if you want to know how they take your braces off, I previously asked a question if you scroll down and some people answered.

I had the same problem with my braces. I would suggest leaving the braces on and let the ortho. put something on your braces to take care of it. I kept mine on for longer and let the gaps close up, and I didn't regret it. I suggest you do the same because my teeth looks great now  (:

I had braces when I was younger and I also had small gaps in my teeth but no worries, they will settle back together a few months after you get them off. I now have no gaps in my teeth.

One word of advice though, WEAR YOUR RETAINER!!! I know it's a pain but I stopped wearing mine after about two years and I regret it big time..so take it from someone who knows, wear it!!!

After your braces are taken off [[your ortho obviously thinks that]] your retainer will fix those gaps. But if you are insucure about them and have doub maybe keep your braces  on for another month and see what happens? Or until you are satisfied. What ever you do don't worry about how long you've had them on. It's definately worth it all in the end. :)

did your dentist remove your wisdom tooth (teeth) or any other teeth?the gaps might be due to that..try askin him/her she probably can remedy it

if your getting your braces off then your orthodontist probably thinks that your teeth are good. When you go to get them off ask him/her about those gaps, but you will also get a retainer after your braces are off so that could be a factor as well as to how those "gaps" will be filled
