Question:

Question About Fake Nails...?

Well I have recently purchased some fake nails and I'm looking to put them on soon. They arn't like, ugly or anything, they just look like not-too-long nice nails.

But anyways, my question is, how do I put the glue on without making a total mess? I don't want the glue to look all clumpy if the nail should happen to fall off.

My neigbour often wears fake nails and I've noticed a few times that if one of her nails falls off, it's still smooth and looks like a nice nail underneath.

I'd ask her how she does this but she's on vacation at the moment.

  1. Put just a tiny drop of glue on your nails. Then place the fake nail over top of it carefully. It isn't very hard. Just a little dab of glue, about one drop. That's enough to hold it.

  2. First step is to push back any cuticles that may have grown in and cut them. Next, match up the correct size of nail to your actual nail. In my experiences the sizes indicated for specific fingers on the box are always too big so go through each finger until you find ones that will fit properly with your actual nail size. Next, cut off the glue tip and put some nail glue  directly on the entire curve of your natural nail and some directly on the entire curve of the fake nail, put a small drop on the tip of your flesh just to hold down the nail more sturdily. Slowly line up the fake nail with your real nail and press down for a minute. Dont worry if the glue tends to spill out, just clean it off quickly with a q-tip. Continue on with the remaining fingers. Now, if you find they look too long (which can happen alot of the times) then the kit more than likely came with a nail filer and buffer. File the nail down straight to your desired length (I find the most realistic is about an inch or an inch and a 1/4 away from my tip) and buff the corners and top for a smooth softer feeling. Carry around the glue bottle in your purse or pocket just to secure a nail if it happens to start falling off. But I never have the problem until its time for them to come off! Enjoy!

Typically false nails last anywhere from 3-5 days. The more your hands are in water the more looser they will become.

This is the only pic of me that I could find where my nails are showing lol

  3. well you should do small lines of glue then wipe some of it off so you have a thin layer of it on your nail. then you can put the nail on.

  4. If you want them to look nice I would just spend the extra money to have someone do them. I get mine done every two weeks, and I think it's worth it. If you'd rather do it yourself then take the glue, cut a small hole into the top and apply a little of the glue to both your nail and the back of the fake nail. If it falls off, file down your nail to get rid of the old glue and just reapply it. But doing it yourself usually leads to them falling off easier unless your careful. Good luck!

  5. Thats true, if the nails falls off your nails wouldnt look good from underneath!

I think your neighbor uses these special fake nails that are stick on! the nail has a stickyness to it and then you just put them on without using ANY glue! Its fast.easy.simple.and your nails would look reallyy nice!

GOOD LUCKK!!!! Hope my advice helped you!!

  6. put the glue on your nail just a dot like the pros and then slid the nail on up to your cuticles and then press softly and then fan or blow
