Question About Federal Work Study and Medicade?

Hi, I am a college student and recently I was approved for federal work study. I am curious to know if I will qualify for Medicare or Foodstamps? I just don't want 2 do anything illegal, but i know several college student who are able 2 receive foodstamps and other assistance from the gov.

I am not looking for a handout or anything, but I cannot even go to the doctor or anything bc of my financial situation.

You would need to check with your local Health & Human Services division for where you live as to what the qualifications are to be eligible to receive those forms of public assistance.  Usually, you do not make enough in work-study funding for it to disqualify you, but you should go straight to the source to sort out these sorts of things.
