Question About Methylprednisolone/Medrol Dose Pack?

i will be starting the dose pack tomorrow is there any precautions i should take things i should avoid in terms of food,meds,will it upset my stomach to take it on empty

avoid eating grapefruit or drinking grapefruit juice while taking this medication. grapefruit juice may increase the amount of this medication in your body.

take this with food or milk, and if you are taking one per day, take them (as suggested by an mD, before 9:00 in the morning)

The Medrol dose pack has the instructions below each row of pills on how to take them. Just follow the instructions for each day. The pills are to be taken BEFORE meals [i.e. on an empty stomach], and at bedtime. Take your pack and read the small print below each row of pills, so you take them exactly as indicated. I've taken this medication many times because I suffer from Carpal Tunnel Syndrome; they have never upset my stomach to this day.

Avoid the sun, it should tell you that on the package. There are a few other warnings. I took it about 2 months ago and my face puffed up like a moon. You can't just stop the dose. Make sure you don't miss a pill. You load up quickly and your body needs to taper it off, that's why you gradually decrease it. I was hungry when I was taking it so I didn't ever have an empty stomach. (It makes you hungry)
