ok so i'm 19 going on 20 in 2 months and i don't have my license. i had my permit in hs, took the written test in highschool and passed the vision test and got the permit, but i had to wait 6 months obviously to get the license. i never got my license and my permit got lost and expired. now that i am 18 and older i don't have to wait 6 months between a permit and a license, i tried to get the permit renewed but the girl at the DMV said i have to wait 6 months again since the permit was lost, even though it's in the DMV's system. Not to sound confusing, but is it true, do you have to wait 6 months like a minor if you have a lost+ expired permit, even though I am 18? I want to get the permit but I don't want to get it if I have to wait 6 months, rather then a month, to get the license. Can somebody please help me?
