Question About PetSmart Bettas?

OK first off i know petsmart is a bad place to get fisjh but its honestly the best place here-- anyways, soon i am going to buy another betta and i want to know if aftr i look through all the cups on the shelf and if i havent found what i like, are htere bettas in the back? and if so, will they let me see them if i ask? TY!

I agree with Alan-- it's only a bad place to get fish if you don't know what to look for in healthy fish, and it's almost always a bad place to look for information (unless you find a reliable employee).  Stores usually put out all the fish they have, because unlike supplies, they DO expire (especially in tiny cups).  The Petsmarts near me have "backup shelves" just in case they do get too many Bettas, so I'd just ask if they have any other Bettas.

no there will not be more in the back, fish are shipped on certain days (once a week) and all goes out only thing that goes to the back is wellness (sick animals). Your best bet is to ask when they will have another shipment of fish, also if there is tons of betas already there they are not going to have anymore come in they order what they need when it comes to animals.

Our Petsmart here is actually a pretty clean and well kept fish supplier with a lot of variety and sizes.  I got my Betta there about 3 months ago and he has lived happily amongst Barbs and spotted puffers, only because I got really tired of keeping him such tight confinement they (at Petsmart) tell you are "perfect" for Betta.  Anyway, just ask.  Most sales people will be glad to help.  Go on a weeknight, when they're not so busy, like 7 p.m.  Good luck!

Petsmart is not a bad place to get fish. It's a bad place to get information about fish. As far as bettas in the back, unless the self is over full, probably not. Just ask.

Bettas at petsmart are fine..

For some reason where I live they have the best selection of female bettas. Even over the top fish shops....

But heres something to think about..and worth the effort I think.

A betta a petsmart is like 4 bucks..and its nice

At a high end fish shop near my place Champion crown tails and delta tails go for 10-12 bucks.

It may be worth the adventure......
