Question

I got my R4 and everything and i don't know how to download games. I turn it on it says "couldn't find SD\TF card" I do not what that means. How do i download the menue. What the heck is SD\TF card?? Do i have to buy something?? I have to download it fast. I heard you download it from the nds rome but in that website where. Please explain it to me detail.
