Question About Tampons and s*x?

Question

Is it ok for a girl to try out tampons for when she gets her period rather than using the pads if that girl is still a virgin? See, I've been hearing so many stupid things from my friends and I just wanted to know if it really is alright to use tampons even though you haven't had s*x yet?

I'm ready to try something new. Hate pads! (lol)

of course its ok to use tampons as a virgin! Tampons and s*x have nothing to do with eachother, except for the fact that they happen to go in the same area! Better get used to tampons now then latter, they are the best thing ever...so much better then pads. tell your friends they are wrong...we dont want them to miss out on ultimate comfort lol

That's perfectly fine honey, you'll still be a virgin and it won't affect your virginity in any way.

I understand why you hate pads, try tampons with an applicator and preferably a 'lite' or 'compak' size, follow the instructions on the pamphlet and you're good to go. :)

It is totally okay. It might be a little uncomfortable at first, and its okay if you need to take it out and try again with another one the first few times. Id suggest the plastic inserts, it makes it easier until you get the hang of it. But your friends are wrong, theres no reason to stay away from tampons if you're still a virgin.

Yes it is ok and they are so much more comfortable than pads.  Pads are like wearing a diaper and they smell and make you feel "unclean".  It's like wearing your period all day long!  Get the slims, plastic inserts and don't get discouraged if you have to try a few times to get the hang of working the insert and proper angle etc.  Tampons are a wonderful invention.  If you hate pads, you will love tampons!

The worst thing a young girl can do is listen to her friends.  They don't know any more than you do and what they "think" they know is usually wrong!  Find an adult that you feel comfortable with and talk to her.  It doesn't have to be your mom just an adult female.  My friends told me you can't get pregnant the first time and I graduated high school with a two year old. I was also dumped by the boy while pregnant and was a single mom for 18 years!

Yes, it is fine, but you probably will want to start with slim or teen tampons b/c they will be more comfy since you haven't had s*x.

yes its fine to use tampons if youre a virgin. for soem people it seems harder if youre a virgin but you can try them out and see if you like them. tampons do not make you loose your virginity.

Its absolutely fine.

I wear tampons all the time, and I haven't had s*x yet.

But also remember, its very unhealthy to wear them for over 9 hours, or when you go to sleep.
