Ok so i been thinking a while about this and i kind of need a thought now this is not meant to provoke people or upset or offend (honest truth) but when people say about Christianity is all about love and caring ?? why do they condemn people for things and also when you read the bible in certain areas some things result in gory death or punishment? i mean isn't that like saying

we love you but do this and we will kill you and i know that is old testament but still .. and as for those that go round condemning people didn't jesus teach love and compassion not to hate as for the bible i must be honest at times and think i dont believe god himself wrote this because it was humans who did .. now before you guys go round been horrible I'm a christian spiritualist

again please don't bicker about different religion's and how this doesn't make sense or say horrible things because i don't wanna provoke people

  1. I find that not all Christians are condemning but ALL of them are people. It is in human nature to judge and there are a lot of riders out there who just can't seem t resist that high horse. Christians or not they are human after all.

  2. NO ONE should be condeming you or anyone else.

as christians we are suppose to show more love than anything else.

when bad things happen to you its because God knows your a strong person he knows that you will always turn to him when you get hurt.

to be honest i think people who reject jesus.

honestly and deeply want to know jesus.

but they just wont let them selves.

they will try to make it look like not having jesus is fun

but deep inside they want to know him.

also like some guy said earlier "to go the way you want to"

we can never believe in ourselves we sin we mess up.

    think about yourlife.

    have you ever messed up?

    thats right everyone has.

how can you believe in something that messes up or fails?

you cant you have to believe in something or someone

who never has and never will mess up.

thats where jesus christ comes in

  3. Yes, the tenets of Christianity and the teachings of Christ were about love and compassion. However, these tenets were never meant to replace the code of law, moral conduct and consequence of sin. In fact, if you read the New Testament, Jesus teaches quite a bit of moral law.

  4. The old testament was written for the children of israel who had no knowledge of a law or of common sense like not stealing. That is why the old testament sounds extremely evil. But the new testament was written to get people out of that thinking because they would take it to far with the law. Like when the priests told the man who was lame not to carry his mat because it was against their law. Not to say that the ten commandments are irrelevant but the law of love is above them. And with people killing if you look God killed everyone on the earth except for Noah and his family. Why? because humanity reached its lowest where most people were killing their children as sacrifices. So I believe that unless God makes it specifically clear to kill someone or to save someone innocent their is no reason to kill.

    Hope that answers your question

  5. Christians shouldn't condemn people.

Do you want to receive the love of God by receiving what Jesus gave all the disciples?

"they were all filled with the Holy Ghost, and began to speak with other tongues, as the Spirit gave them utterance."

    (Acts 2:4)

  6. Believing In a religion makes you an Idiot! I'm just a Catholic by name but that doesn't mean I AM ONE! Don't believe on any Churches, they're pure evil! Just follow on the path you wish to follow!

  7. humans (those who believe and those who don't  believe in the Bible) have a tendency to always compare themselves to their fellow humans for several reasons; make themselves feel better, avoid responsibility and guilt and many other reasons.

    what is a Christian spiritualist?

  8. Christianity is about love but some people teach it in a "tough love" way. It's about the love of Jesus. How he loved us so much he would die for us. Chirstians are not meant to condemn people, it's not our job to judge (though some do). When it seems like someone is comdemning someone else alot of times the are condemning the lifstyle choices that person is making, and not the actual person. We are supposed to go to people, in love, and hold them accountable for their faults and their sins so that they can be saved and go to Heaven. It's out of love that we don't want people to go to h**l.

Some people go about it all wrong because they get that High and Mighty "I'm a saved Christian so I'm better than you" attitude about it but that doesn't make the religion bad.

Also God didn't write the Bible, it's God inspired not God written.

  9. let the new testament show you why christianity is evil

    The Fulfillment of the Law

17"Do not think that I have come to abolish the Law or the Prophets; I have not come to abolish them but to fulfill them.

    Matthew 5:17

  10. to be honest im kinda agnotic cause i dont understand about why God would let bad things happen but when i get very good luck or something amazing happens i cant help but think hes real yanno, its all a bit confusing to me i mean the idea of evolutions works out well, and the idea of one person/thing creating an entire universe baffles me!

  11. Religion is illogical. Reject it. You'll be a better person if you do. Do a Google search: Zeitgeist the movie. It will change your life.

  12. One of the many reasons I am Atheist

  13. I don’t know much about other religions, but I can assure you that Christianity is not evil. In fact it’s the only way by which you’ll know about the true God that created everything. The rational that He created you is for his own purpose. Just like our own inventions, we created things for our own purpose, and if it does not, we try to fix them. And if still it does not get fixed, we actually discard or destroy them. Accordingly, God tries to fix us by informing us, we have the bible as a user’s manual or guide. If we do not follow, things turn out bad. It’s like a warning sign for us to get to the right track; when we feel pain we need to stop or something worst will happen. Most of the time we don’t do it right, so why expect the world to be a better place, there’s nobody to blame but us.

To avoid confusion about h**l, we should take this up in the light of the Bible, since it is the theological writing that advocated the concept of h**l. According to what is written, h**l is not a momentary place where the dead stays, that is the grave, but an abode in the afterlife. h**l is the other place or the converse of heaven where the resurrected goes. Accordingly, the bible says we shall all be provided with an immortal body regardless of our destination after life. This is an eternal existence of the soul; hence it is the end of mortality. As written, it is at the end that the righteous will be justly rewarded whereas the unjust will be justly punished. As written, in the afterlife heaven is a place of pleasure (which it refers to as life), while h**l is a place of torment (referred to as death).  God saw it fitting and wise of him indeed that there be h**l in the afterlife. For how else can the question of justice be resolved, but with the serving of the sentence? The wages of sin is death. Since the bible declares that no one is righteous on the basis of its standard, all men are bound to h**l. However, the Bible has a salvation program that is availed by faith. So that all may have a chance, the salvation program was promised to be preached to all the living before the reckoning day. In the afterlife there will no longer be any chance whatsoever; for Christ cannot be crucified a second time, hence the biblical rationality of h**l that is the second death for the condemned.

Give some time for the book to teach you, read it with an open mind, best of all ask someone knowledgeable to guide you through it. Later on you can do it on your own.

  14. Christianity is probably one of the most vicious religions ever brought about.  I agree with the belief or punishment deal.  Just look at what a Southern Baptist will preach about and then turn around and do.

I spent a tour in Viet Nam in 66-67.  During this time the only thing I got from my Methodist Church was tithing envelopes.  When I came back, the Choir director asked me where I had been.  I took off my robe, handed it to him and walked out of the church NEVER to return.

I believe in one God, I believe that Jesus was a prophet along with Mohammed.  I also believe that the correct teachings of both have been terribly distorted.

Just let me be and let me have my PERSONAL beliefs.

    'Nuff of this preaching.

  15. Don't let the devil use people to keep you from serving

Jesus Christ. These kind of people that is mentioned

may still belong to the devil. Not true converts. They do

    exist!

  16. Christianity is about love. But it is love that drives the Christian to warn unbelievers of their pending punishment. And punishment doesn't sound very lovely.

  17. True love hates that which is evil. The bible says if you love your children you will punish them, otherwise they will never learn and will become selfish, inconsiderate, and will get involved and even more wickedness.  God is love, meaning God is just.

  18. I'm a catholic (not practicing) and we are taught that the reason God needs to condemn people is because Adam & Eve sinned by eating the forbidden fruit and created original sin.

It's messed up yea but I think alot of the bible is just stories made up to teach people things (like fables)
