  1. normally you'll fly with the same guy for a whole 'trip' which means departing from your base and whatever flights you do inbetween and finally coming back to base. so this would be a minimum of 2 flights or more.

  2. Depends on the line you bid for the month. They usually match you up with whoever bid something similar, so you may end up with somebody for a few trips, or see somebody once, and then again in 3-4 years.

  3. Usually you fly with the same FO for a month at a time (one bid period) except for vacations, sick time etc. If you are difficult to get along with as a Captain you may see the FO's drop trips and have many FO's through the bid period. Some Captains will develop a reputation among the FO's at the company. It is a two way street in that Captains will avoid FO's sometimes also, but it is nice to know who is going to be the head jerk in the cockpit. "It's good to be King"

  4. First guys are right. It also depends on the size of the company. Large airline companies will have you with the same FO for a pairing where you'd fly from Miami to Toronto, then to Las Vegas, stay the night, fly to Boston, then to Montreal, then to Miami, all with the same FO over the course of two days. The next time that Captain flies, he'll have a whole new FO for one or more flights.
