Question For Walmart Employees- How long does it take to get your background check back?

I "accepted the job offer" at my interview LAST monday (so 8 days ago) and they said that as soon as my drug test and background check came back that I would be called for orientation. I called them on Thursday and they said the drug screen was fine and that they were just waiting for the background check.

Should I be worried that it's been 8 days so far? When did you get your call back? Please answer if you've ever been through this process with Wal Mart!

I DID THE SAME THING LAST MONTH AND IT TOOK 7 OR 8 DAYS, IT DEPENDS ON THE COMPANY THEY USE TO CHECK THE BACKGROUND, WHICH I THINK IS CHOICEPOINT. IF THERE IS SOMTHING ON YOUR BACKGROUND CHECK IT COULD BE THE REASON IT IS TAKING SO LONG, OR THEY MIGHT WAIT ON OTHERS SO THEY CAN SCHEDULE A CERTAIN AMOUNT OF ORIENTATIONS.
