Question Mark makes an E with an accent?

Question

on some programs it when i make a question mark, it makes an e with an accent, however it doesn't do this in internet explorer, mostly on msn. and please do not say that i need to change the language, i have already check the settings and it English(Canda) so thats not the problem, it doesn't do this all the time tho.

Can anyone help me

I was wondering if it might have been because i held down the fn button on my laptop and click something that could have dont that, ..since it only does it sometimes.
