Im traveling to Tijuana mexico in a car and i was wondering if for the way back into the US you need a passport. I will be entering the San Ysidro border. I am a US citizen but i dont have a passport. I heard that by car you dont need a passport? Does anybody know? Please help!

  1. You DO NOT need a passport to travel by LAND to Mexico....YET


  2. I believe that you don't need a passport if traveling by land.

I sure would have a passport these days...also don't take your car in Mexico without a auto policy from a Mexican company...best not to take it.. if you have an accident you can be put in jail till at rail date is set. Walk in and walk out with passport, drivers license and birth certificate....Got anything else gringo?
