Question : Should Andy Roddick play in another tournament before Wimbledon?

He lost in the semifinals to Nadal 7-5 6-4 which is not bad at all considering he's just coming back from an injury. If he plays in one of the 2 tournaments this week before WImbledon, he'll be the favorite to win the event since its much weaker than Queen's and get ready before Wimbledon. The downside of course is fatigue and he may get injured again but if he wants to win Wimbledon I think he should get as many matches under his belt.

  1. yes

  2. i would like him to, cause i'd like to see him, hehe.-

seriously, it could be convinient for him to get more matches going in to wimbledon.-

  3. No...winning Halle is enough!

  4. No, I don't think so. He should not risk getting injured again. Playing a tournament a week before a grand slam is not a smart decision. The grass court season is very short and reaching the semifinals of a tournament is enough.

  5. I don't think it's going to help him prepare for wimbledon, and that's what it's all about. Winning some small tournament means nothing. But getting injured or fatigued before Wimbledon means a lot. He's already got some grass court play, now rest and wait for the real thing.

  6. Practice, yes.  Another Tournament, no.  He just recovered from a few injuries, I hope he doesn't and lets his body rest from his match with Rafa.  He definately needs to practice though, especially on grass.  Before his match with Rafa, he had only spent like 2 hours and 25 mins on court because of all his injured opponents . . . I blame this for his dissapointing loss to Nadal
