Question aabout being a citizen?

i have a doubt,

if someone was born in USA but both parents are from another country, (lets say one is from ecuador and another from colombia)

will the child be a citizen automaticly or will it take process ?

will he/she be a citizen USTbecause he/she was born in USA ?

and whatif 2 americans have a child in a diffenrent country,

how can they make him a citizen ?

  1. Technically if you were born within the territory of the United States of America and your parents DID register so, I think you're qualified as an American citizen.


  2. 1989, huh, wouldn't you know?

    If a child is born in the US, he/she is automatically a US citizen regardless of the nationality or citizenship of the parents(why do you think illegal immigrants come here?).

    If two Americans have a child in a different country, and want to make them a citizen[American], then they can come back to the US with the child and go through a process with the US Dept. of Immigration. It would be the same process if the parents weren't American citizens when they come here but do want to be American citizens. This will all work out only if the parents aren't illegal aliens.
