Question about 1080p resolution

IN THE VIDEO GAME BOX IT SAYS 1080p RESOLITON BUT WHEN I TURN IT ON I ONLY GOES TO 720p EVEN WIITH THE HD MI CABLE WHY OR WHAT IS WRONG??

  1. First off what video game box? The box the disc came in, the box the system came in? If it is on the actual disc box then it is 1080p check to make sure your settings are set to 1080p on your ps3, if your tv isn't 1080p it down converts it to 720p
