Question about 'Ruehl'?

at ruehl, why is the sizing in juniors instead of adults if it's aimed for 20 and 30 years olds??? a child could fit into some of those clothes, i am sure. the sizing is exactly the same as hollister's and a&f, what kind of 30 year old still wears/can fit into junior sized clothing??? that's what I'm wondering...because I am almost positive my 11 year old sister could fit into the xs sized tops there just fine...

  1. ahaha this questino hits home to me because im 18 and ive been working at hollister for a year and a half.

basically here it is for all the a and f stores in terms of youngest to oldest

    abercromibe

    hollister

    abercrombie and fitch

    ruehl

gilly hicks (lingerie store, underwear brand)

    abercrombie kids are kid sizes

hollister are junior sizes.  the pant sizes are in odd numbers, which shows that the sizes are smaller.

abercrombie and fitch and ruehl run the same sizes, but are targetd towards different audiences

ruehl is focused more on mid to late 20 yr olds, youre completely correct, but the body type that it targets are those with a small figure.  youre younger sister could probably fit intot hsoe clothes, but theyw oudltn fit her as nicely and as proportionally well as a shirt from abercrombie or hco would.

its sad how michael jeffries has completely secluded plus size americans from his store and i know i work for his comapny but itssoemthing that we stand for tha tim not completely proud of.

    i hope this helps you!

  2. thats true.

    i personally dont like ruehl.

it looks almost exactly like abercrombie (i <3 hco!)

and i think some of it is super overpriced.

  3. I just checked. The sizing charts on the Abercrombie & Fitch, Hollister, and Ruehl sites are all exactly the same.

So I really don't see any difference in them, either, except the prices.

  4. my mom still fits in juniors and shes in her 40's!

but yeah there sizing is really small.

    ruehl, a&f, abercrombie, hollister..

they need to have extended sizes i think.

and they need to chill with the price tags.

i mean a pair of ripped jeans at ruehl is $108

  5. A&F owns Ruehl, so really, there's no reason for them to change their sizes when it's already used in all their other stores. Plus, most adults could probably fit into the larger 'junior' sizes there.
