What type of fuel does the 1998 Pontiac Bonneville SSE take and also is this a really good car to buy and is it very reliable. please explain and details thanks.

  1. regular unleaded gasoline.

    they all had the 3.8 l GM motor in them which would run forever.  it got decent gas mileage, had decent power for it's era, but was 'rough' compared witht hte toyota and honda v-6's.  on the flip side, it would run and run.  if it's in good shape, it's a good buy.


  2. Those cars are very reliable and should have the 3.8 (3800) motor in them. That is one of the best GM has ever had. They are good to 250,000 Mi if they have had some maintenance done along the way. If should be the non supercharged motor so it will take reg gas. There were a few with the supercharger in the SSE and if it is it will take premium fuel. If the car has been taken care of it should last a long time..........UJN
