Hi I got a appointment to go for acupuncture and I made sure they're professional. I'm just wondering can you tell me ALL the benefits of acupuncture?

Will acupuncture help people with constipation and people who pass out a lot?

Thanks!

  1. Acupuncture is very beneficial. It doesn't hurt and if it does it just feels like a tiny mosquito bite, something like that. You might feel a little uncomfortable, but it goes away quickly. Yes, acupuncture helps people with constipation and people who pass out a lot. You might be asked to take some alternatives like some herbs too.

  2. If you are constipated all the time, you need more fiber and water daily and you are probably deficient in magnesium (most Americans are).  If this is just a once in awhile thing try castor oil or a tablespoon on epsom salt in a glass of warm water and walk around.  THis will get you moving.  If you pass out you could be low in iron or hypoglsymic meaning your sugar get a little too low.  Email me with more details if you want, I can give you some pointers.

  3. it helps stimulate nerves and blood flow, my docture gave me acupunture when I hyper-extended my knee

  4. Found this on a reliable website.  I am sure there are people who have experienced both positive and negative effects.  Its one of those thing where "do the risks really outweight the benefits".

    Acupuncture

The studies investigating acupuncture treatment for constipation have been small and have produced both positive and negative results, meaning that sometimes the research suggests that acupuncture is helpful and sometimes it seems to be neutral – no benefit beyond conventional treatment but no harm either. The bottom line is that acupuncture is fairly individual. It may help your chronic constipation and it may not. Talk to your doctor about whether it is safe for you to try.

Acupuncturists treat people with constipation based on an individualized assessment of the excesses and deficiencies of qi located in various meridians. In the case of gastrointestinal conditions like constipation, a qi deficiency is usually detected in the colon and lung meridians.

  5. it doesnt help contipation but  it helps to relax you so if you pass out because of stress this might help you .. accupuncture is putting little needles right on your pressure pionts to relax your body and it dont hurt and it really does relax you and you wont have little holes all over either so you dont ahev to wory about that.

  6. The following are all the benefits of quackupuncture:

    .

  7. Acupuncture does not work.

Acupuncture deals with "imaginary" lines on the body, and "imaginary" points on the body where supposedly, sticking a needle into will cause some sort of medical benefit.

What was the key word in the above sentence?

What's funny is that, while China long ago moved away from acupuncture as a practical source of treatment, the western world has embraced this mumbo jumbo, while the location it originated in has moved towards modern medicine.

  8. I am sure it helps.

  9. Um, look at my source.  I don't know if it will help people with that.  OK.

  10. Acupuncture is very effective for helping people with a wide variety of problems. The constipation is probably due to diet, and passing out sounds like an anxiety or blood sugar issue.

Acupuncture should not be a substitute for visiting your doctor, but a great source for supplemental help.

Make sure to tell your acupuncture therapist about all of your concerns and ailments so he/she knowshow to treat the problem. Multiple visits are recommended.

I've not personally tried it, but have several friends who have had great success with the treatment. An open mind and heart will help you greatly with this experience.
