Question about Anthropology dealing with Chimpanzees...Please Help!?

Why does it make evolutionary sense that chimpanzees have advanced capabilities for culture?

Please give me a detailed response because I am doing a research/essay and your help would be tremendously appreciated.

  1. social structure they live in groups and this is required to maintain the group dynamics. all social animals have intricate social structures.

  3. Well, chimpanzees (specifically BONOBO chimps, a rare subspecies which are only found in a small region of the Democratic Republic of Congo - formerly Zaire) have only a 2% genetic difference from humans.

    They are very social mammals and are also very sexual in nature. They are one of only a few species of animals which participate in homosexual acts. So I guess they are pretty similar to humans.
