Question about Antivirus 2009?

What exactly is it?? I downloaded AVG and the security center is still popping up with stuff from some Antivirus 2009,about how my computer is not protected and all....how do I get the Antivirus 2009 off my pc? I went under add/remove programs,I don't see it there,is it a Microsoft program??

  4. OMG THE SAME THING HAPPENED TO ME!!! It's a rogue software or a maleware. It harms your computer by pretending its sick with spyware. Go download malwarebytes and then go into your program folder to delete rhcvcgj0eeqv. Its not a microsoft program! You can't get rid of it during add/remove programs

  6. no... it is not a microsoft program...... it is a malware..... a scam... it fools people by displaying hoax threat detections........

    as with your avg.. you should update and scan your whole system using it...

    Its basically functioning as Adware to try and get you to install something on your computer.

    One important thing is the fact that you should completely update the Operating System and ALL of the patches.  If your machine is patched for the vulnerability on the HD, then YOU cannot get infected.  It is the more proactive approach (patching your machine, keeping your software updated, using the most current firmware and drivers).  AV is ALWAYS reactive!
